SiliconDust has rolled out a new stable firmware update compatible with all its TV tuner models, namely release 20141124, which improves channel scan, channel detection, diagnostic logging, transcoding, and more.

If the present version is applied, DLNA RUI support will be added, internet720 profile will be replaced by internet540, and channel map will be automatically applied to both tuners. Also, some devices will now be able to make use of 3 tuner operations with Conax cards.

In addition to that, tuning by physical channel using HTTP is now available as a stable option, and HDHomeRun VIEW apps support is enhanced.

As for fixes, SiliconDust’s present update resolves possible issues spotted on some cable systems regarding improper crash and reboot events or Chinese character miss-triggering, fixes channel handling on certain settings, as well as phantom program reporting when using channel scan.

Along with this firmware release, the producer has also made available 3 new driver and utility packages that share the same 20141124 version, and which are compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux platforms.

When it comes to their release notes, these files include HDHomeRun VIEW app support, improve the firmware upgrade process, add some HDHomeRun WMP Plugin and Cofig GTK fixes and enhancements, as well as implement several other changes that you can view using the “Release Notes” button.

That being said, download both SiliconDust HDHomeRun Firmware 20141124 and SiliconDust HDHomeRun Driver 20141124, apply them on your devices, and enjoy the new changes this release brings about.
