Samsung has made available a new firmware package compatible with its NX2000 camera models, namely version 1.18, which improves compatibility with 50-150mm-S lens and resolves various other bugs.

In order to apply this release on your imaging device, save and unzip the downloadable package, format a compatible memory card using the NX unit, and transfer the “nx2000.bin” file onto the card’s root folder.

Afterwards, insert the SD card into the camera’s slot, power it on, and go to Menu > Settings > Device Information, select Firmware Update, then Body Firmware Update, and confirm your choice using the “Yes” option.

At this point, the installation process is initiated, therefore don’t interrupt it by removing the battery/SD card, powering off the camera, or using its buttons.

Also, bear in mind that the NX2000 will first check the firmware, reboot, and then perform the upgrade in two steps with one more restart between them. Just allow the unit to do its job until a “Body Firmware update complete” message is displayed on the LCD.

Upon completion, the camera will automatically power off; just remove the SD card, turn it back on, and check the currently installed firmware version to ensure it reads 1.18.

With this in mind, download Samsung NX2000 Camera Firmware 1.18, take into account all aforementioned aspects, apply the new version, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
