A few moments ago, Realtek has just made available new network packages developed for its Gigabit and Fast Ethernet controllers, which are compatible with both 32- and 64-bit variants of most of Microsoft’s Windows operating systems.

Specifically speaking, just a few days after Realtek USB 3.0 LAN Driver 8.013 was outed, the producer has released a new network package developed for its USB 3.0 Gigabit Ethernet controller, namely version 7.009 compatible with Microsoft's Windows 7 platform.

Moreover, after more than a month since the previous update which was targeted at Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 OSes, Realtek has outed the USB 2.0 LAN driver version 5.007 and 6.011 developed for Microsoft’s Windows XP and Vista platforms, respectively.

In addition to that, the producer has also released the LAN driver version 106.004 for Windows Vista and Server 2008, 7.085 compatible with Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2, as well as 8.031 targeted at Windows 8 and 8.1 operating systems.

Therefore, if you intend to update your Ethernet chipset, get and extract the proper downloadable package for your network controller and system platform, and run the available setup. Now, follow the instructions displayed on-screen, and make sure to perform a restart after the installation finishes.

With this in mind, take into account all aforementioned aspects, follow the one that best describes your system configuration, upgrade your Ethernet component, and stay “updated one minute ago.”
