Fresh out of the box HD audio drivers from Realtek are available on our servers for users to download and install.

It's been exactly two weeks since Realtek launched 2.69 High Definition Audio Codecs and now, strangely enough, the Taiwan-based company is pushing out 2.70 drivers for motherboards with Realtek audio chipsets.

Usually, they have a release cycle of about two months.

We’ve noticed no differences between the two packages, 2.70 offering the same changes highlighted in 2.69, Windows 8 with WHQL certification (Windows Hardware Quality Labs) and ALC283 chipset support.

The only difference that we spotted is the update of ATI HDMI Audio Device Driver, which is now at the same version as the current package, 2.70, and has a separate download link. Make sure you check the changelog file for a full list of the supported chipsets.

Users who have motherboards with Realtek chipsets incorporated are invited to download and install the latest High Definition audio drivers.
