Razer has just updated the driver for its Imperator gaming mouse. Version 2.05 offers Windows 8 support, and can run either on 32bit or 64bit architecture.

Features that make the Imperator stand out are its 6400dpi 4G Dual Sensor System, ergonomic right-handed design and an acceleration of up to 200 inches per second /50g.

Users’ opinions about the sensor Razer packed in this mouse vary. However, some users have been complaining about its Z-axis issue and the way the cursor jitters even when the mouse is not moving.

As it turns out, eliminating any vibration sources (like subwoofers) is recommended. The sensor is highly sensitive and responds promptly to any vibration or movement.

If you’re thinking of buying the Imperator, the price is $79.99 (€61.3) and does not include taxes and shipping charges. You should know that it comes in Battlefield 3 or Mass Effect 3 editions, with the same price tag.
