14 DAY TRIAL // Prestigio has just released new firmware updates targeted at MultiPad Wize 3047 3G (PMT3047 3G) and MultiPad Muze 5001 3G (PMT5001 3G) owners, namely versions 1.0.09 and 1.0.11, respectively, which unfortunately don’t come with any changelog whatsoever.
Considering these matters, I can only assume that these new releases improve the tablets’ overall stability and performance. However, you still have to apply them yourself to find out what the changes really are.
To do so, first of all make sure your currently installed firmware isn’t newer or matching the present update (should be visible in Settings > About Tablet > System Information).
If it isn’t, we highly recommend backing up all important information stored on your device as the upgrade process might or might not erase your data (better safe than sorry). Also, it’s imperative that your battery be fully charged in order to successfully perform the installation.
After all these precautions have been checked, save and extract the appropriate archive for your device model, transfer the “update.zip” file to your tablet’s internal storage root directory using a USB cable, and power off the device.
Now, press and hold the “Volume +” and “Power” buttons for about 5 seconds in order to enter Boot Mode, navigate to “Recovery Mode” using “Volume +,” select it by pressing “Volume -,” and after the green robot appears, press “Power” once.
In the Recovery Menu, browse through its options using the “Volume -/+” buttons, highlight “Apply Update from SDcard” and press “Power,” navigate to the “/media/0/update.zip” archive, and press “Power” once more - this will initiate the upgrade process.
