Point of View, a Dutch electronics manufacturer, has released firmware version 20130303 for its 10-inch ProTab 3 XXL tablet. It did not include a changelog in the update package, so we're waiting for your feedback.

Inside the 363 MB archive, we find driver version 2.0, RockChip Batch Tool version 1.5 and the firmware itself. Language support for English and Chinese is also included.

To install the new release, check if you've downloaded the right firmware. On the back of your device, under the barcode, it should read “TAB-PROTAB30-IPS10.” If that's your case, back up your personal data, fully charge the battery and proceed as follows.

Unpack the downloaded file, connect the charger to the tablet and USB cable to PC. Power off the device and wait for Windows to recognize the new connected hardware.

In the Device Manager window, update the driver of the “Unknown Device” you've just plugged in. Browse the “Driver” folder in the unpacked archive and select the folder corresponding to your OS.

After that's done, run the RockChip Batch Tool and browse the firmware img. If “Connected Devices” is green, hit the upgrade button. It will install and, finally, it will confirm that the operation is successful. Exit the application and wait patiently for the tablet to power on.

Below is the link to the firmware. Download it, install it and stay “updated one minute ago.”
