Today, Point of View outed a new firmware version, namely 1352.20111209, which installs the Android 2.3 operating system on its targeted ProTab2XXL tablet.

In the absence of an official changelog, I can only assume that, if installed, the newly released package might improve the device’s overall performance and stability. All that I can highlight would be the procedure of updating the firmware.

So, if you consider installing Point of View’s latest release, first backup your personal data to prevent any related data loss, make sure that the battery is fully charged and verify that AC adapter is plugged in.

Moreover, disable any antivirus or firewall programs installed on your computer, so that they don’t interfere with the process.

Now connect the tablet with the computer through a USB cable, open the “LiveSuitPack105_english” executable file located within the downloadable archive, and afterwards, run “LiveSuit.exe” from the extracted files.

At the next window, click on the “SelectTag” button, and browse and choose the firmware file. When you press “OK,” the “Jump to update mode failed” message will appear – just unplug and plug back the tablet, wait a little while, and the process will start automatically.

When it finishes, press OK and then close LiveSuite window – and that’s quite all you need to know.

Now follow the link below, and download all the files needed for a complete and successful upgrade process.
