Plextor has come out with a new and improved firmware for their M5 Pro series SSD. Version 1.02 does not pack too many fixes; therefore the product must have been pretty well revised before launch.

The 1.02 addresses the M5 Pro family only (128GB - PX-128M5P, 256GB - PX-256M5P and 512GB - PX-512M5P) and brings in some fixes and a performance upgrades for reading/writing to the disk.

With this update, the problem regarding the wrong World-Wide Name signal on some systems and the WHQL TRIM Failure symptom is, as well, history.

The 2.5” device is a remarkable piece of hardware bearing in mind that it has a SATA 6Gb/s interface capable of blazing fast speed. Added to that is the estimated lifetime of the drive itself: more than 2.4 million hours. And if we further mention the 5-year warranty service that Plextor offers, the M5 Pro SSD becomes a very handy tool for any user out there.

As usual, we leave you with the download links so you can stay “updated one minute ago.”
