Following the 1.06 release that had a larger number of fixes, today Pioneer makes available firmware version 1.07 developed for its XDJ-R1 DJ Controller, which should resolve only one issue.

To be clearer, with the previous version, between the end and the beginning of some rekordbox-analyzed tracks (AIFF file format), a noise that might have bothered the users was heard – with this new package, the noise problem is resolved.

However, if you consider upgrading, you must disconnect all devices and cables from the device, remove all CDs or USB devices before initiating the update, and make sure not to rename the firmware file that will be used in the process.

If checked, copy the “xdj_0107.bin” file from within the downloadable archive onto a formatted USB stick, power the XDJ-R1 while pressing the “SHIFT” and “USB” buttons, and insert the USB drive into the device.

At this point, the upgrade process start, and when it finishes, make sure you turn off the unit and remove the USB stick before you start using the XDJ-R1, so that the device doesn’t encounter any problems.

That being said, if you hear the same noise between the AIFF tracks, and this problem bothers you, follow the link below, and download the firmware package that will remove this issue.
