Today, Pioneer has made available its latest firmware developed for the BDP-150 Blu-ray players, namely version 1.08, which improves the BD-ROM, BD-R, and BD-RE playability for both black and silver models.

In addition to that, through this release, Pioneer’s network player also benefits from some general performance improvements and a new authentic YouTube access method.

As for installing this version, first copy all the files from within the archive onto a formatted USB drive, make sure the player doesn’t have any device connected, turn it off, and insert the USB memory device into the player’s front panel.

Now, power on the unit, and go to Standby/On → Home Menu → Initial Setup → Options → Update → USB storage. At this point, the player will start searching for the firmware file, and when it finishes, it will display a message at which you should press the “Enter” button.

Bear in mind that you mustn’t interrupt the update process, which will take about 2 minutes to complete, because doing so may cause damages to the player. Moreover, know that the upgrade finishes only when the device doesn’t display any “Wait” message, and the player completely reboots.

That being said, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your Pioneer player (either black or silver).
