Pioneer has just released a new firmware update for its DDJ-SR DJ controller. Version 1.07 fixes the issue where a DJ application could not be controlled from the device if its TEMPO Sliders were moved.

To install, one must first download the new Pioneer DDJ-SR DJ controller firmware 1.07 and extract the archive.

Connect your DJ controller to a PC via USB cable and turn it on by pressing the “SHIFT” and “SYNC” buttons. Do not release the buttons until the level meter LEDs are flashing.

Next, run the newly extracted file and follow the on-screen instructions. If you're employing Windows 8 or 8.1, the SmartScreen application might prevent the firmware updater from running. If this happens, click on “More info” and then “Run Anyway.”

When the update process is complete, click the “OK” button and you're set.

Get the latest firmware for Pioneer's DDJ-SR DJ controller, install it, and stay “updated one minute ago.”
