Pioneer has just outed firmware version 1.20 developed for its CDJ-2000nexus and CDJ-2000nexus Platinum Edition DJ Controllers, which should improve some of the devices’ features.

Specifically speaking, when the loop playback finishes, the loop beat selection display switches back to the WAVE display, and if SYNC is disabled, the SYNC MASTER player switches automatically, at which point users can take advantage of the meter and traffic light system.

As for installing the firmware, first turn off the controller and remove all the connected devices such as USB drives, SD card, LINK, or other connection. If checked, turn on the CDJ and press and hold both the “USB” and “RELOOP/EXIT” buttons until the logo screen disappears.

When the “Connect the USB storage device to the USB port” message appears, simply insert a USB memory drive containing the firmware file (which is found within the downloadable archive), and the update will start automatically.

While updating (the “AUTO BEAT LOOP” LED blinks), make sure you don’t power off the device or interfere with the process in any way, so that the upgrade is successful.

When the installation process completes, a proper message will be displayed, at which point you must turn off the CDJ player, remove the USB drive, and only afterwards power on and use the device.

That being said, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your Pioneer DJ Controller, download the package, and update the firmware to the latest version.
