The new release fixed some issues in Needle Search function

Pioneer has made available a new firmware package compatible with its CDJ-2000 DJ controller models (both black and white), namely version 4.33, which fixes various issues regarding the Needle Search function and includes several other changes.

The producer’s 4.33 update resolves a problem spotted with 2TB HDDs where tracks located in a certain folder couldn’t be displayed when entering that directory, and modifies the controller so that it now shows “KEY” instead of “GENRE” when browsing a USB stick.

In addition to that, with previous firmware versions, the CDJ-2000 couldn’t load a WAVE file format whose header was incompatible, and displayed a “Loading...” message continuously. Now, with this release, no such problems should be encountered anymore.

As for applying Pioneer’s update and enjoying these new improvements, save and unzip the downloadable archive, initialize a USB stick (FAT or FAT32 format), and transfer all four .UPD files extracted previously on it.

Afterwards, turn off the CDJ, disconnect any attached devices, and power it back on while holding the“USB” and “RELOOP/EXIT” buttons until Pioneer DJ logo is visible. At this point, you must simply connect the USB memory stick, and the controller will do the rest.

Specifically speaking, its LCD will show a “Now Updating” blinking message (Auto Beat Loop LED will blink as well), and after about 2 minutes, once the new version has been applied, it will display a “Firmware update is completed” message.

Therefore, download Pioneer CDJ-2000 DJ Controller Firmware 4.33, apply it on your computer, and don’t forget to check back with us as often as possible to be the first to know when a newer version is available for this performance multi-player.
