Phase One has made available two new firmware packages compatible with its IQ digital backs, namely versions 1.05 and 5.19, which change the default ISO value to the lowest in the range and resolve a possible issue with missing ISO sub menu.

In addition to that, these new versions also include a new “A-series” camera mode on compatible digital backs, which adds two additional options in the Lens Menu: “Alpa Lenses” and “Other Lens.”

To be more specific about the compatibility list, while Phase One’s 1.05 firmware update is suitable for its IQ150, IQ250 and A-series IQ250 digital backs, version 5.19 is targeted only at the producer’s IQ140, IQ160, IQ180, IQ260, IQ260 Achromatic and IQ280 devices.

When it comes to applying these releases, first save the appropriate firmware file for your specific digital back model, initialize a CF card using your device, and transfer the .fwr file onto it.

Afterwards, insert the card into your digital back, turn the unit on, go to Menu > Firmware > Update Firmware, and carefully follow all instructions displayed on screen.

If this method isn’t desired or worse, doesn’t work, you can also upgrade your product using Phase One Firmware Updater 3.3.1 (available for both Windows and Mac OS X platforms).

That being said, download Phase One IQ Digital Back Firmware 1.05 or download Phase One IQ Digital Back Firmware 5.19, depending on which one is compatible with your device, apply it carefully, and constantly check our website for new releases.
