The new release addresses issues encountered after iOS 8.2

Today, Pebble has rolled out a rather small but useful firmware update targeted at its smart watches, namely version 2.9.1, which fixes iOS SMS and mail notifications issues spotted after the iOS 8.2 upgrade.

Even though the changelog is that shot, if you have been encountering these problems and intend to apply Pebble’s new firmware, you should know that the producer has provided 3 installation files targeted at different devices and serial numbers.

Specifically speaking, there is a .pbz file suitable for Pebble Steel watches, and two developed for Pebble’s SmartWatch: one packages for devices with Serial Numbers (SN) starting with Q, and the other for SNs starting with a numeral.

Considering the above, make sure you download the appropriate file specifically developed for your device and SN, as trying to apply a wrong firmware might brick your smartwatch.

Moreover, Pebble also has available its Pebble Android App, as well as Pebble iOS App 2.6.5 version, through which you can upgrade your smartwatch device.

Therefore, save the appropriate firmware on your phone, open the .pbz file using one of the two aforementioned mobile applications, and follow the instructions for a complete installation.

In other words, download Pebble SmartWatch Firmware 2.9.1 or download Pebble Steel SmartWatch Firmware 2.9.1, update your device’s software, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
