This new update enhances overall stability during recording

Just now, Panasonic has rolled out firmware 1.2 developed for its Lumix SZ8 digital camera, which improves the device’s overall stability and usability during use of the recording function.

If you intend to benefit from this enhancement, you should definitely take into account a firmware upgrade. However, before initiating this process, you must go to Mode > Normal Picture > Menu > Setup > Version Disp. and check the currently installed version.

Now, if the camera’s present firmware isn’t either newer or matching this release, save and unzip the downloadable archive, initialize a compatible SD card using Panasonic’s Lumix unit, and move the “CK36310.elf” file and firmware folder onto the memory card’s root directory.

Bear in mind that this process might not work properly if you don’t use your camera to format the SD card. Also, don’t forget that all data stored on the memory card will be erased once initialized.

With this in mind, make sure your camera is powered off, insert the newly-prepared SD card, and turn the unit on while holding zoom level to wide side so that your device can enter upgrade mode.

At this point, an update-related screen will be displayed, so just agree with this process by choosing “Yes,” and wait for the camera to do its job. Do not turn off your unit, remove the SD card or disconnect the battery – doing so might cause serious device malfunctions.

Once finished, the Lumix SZ8 will automatically turn off. Now, simply power the unit back on, check its currently installed firmware once more to ensure the process has been successful, turn your camera off, and remove the SD card.

That being said, download Panasonic DMC-SZ8 Camera Firmware 1.2, take into account all aforementioned aspects, upgrade your device, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
