Today, Olympus has made available several new firmware packages targeted at some of its digital cameras, which add the ability to access Toshiba’s W-03 FlashAir memory cards from within the device’s setup menu.

In order to be clear about the targeted devices, the producer has provided firmware 1.1 for its TG-630 and TG-2 imaging units, version 1.4 compatible with E-PL5 and E-PM2 digital cameras, as well as a 1.2 update developed for the producer’s E-PL6 devices.

As for applying these updates, first of all, ensure that your currently installed firmware isn’t either newer or matching the present release. If all is OK, get the downloadable package (available for both Mac and Windows platforms).

Afterwards, make sure your computer has access to the Internet, remove any memory card from the camera, run the saved file, and connect the E-M5 Mark II unit to your computer. Once attached, hit next, and wait for the updater to search for a new firmware 1.1.

When found, press “Update,” then select “OK,” agree with the upgrade process, and wait for the firmware to be transferred and applied to your imaging device.

Keep in mind that, when the installation is completed, Olympus’ camera will show an “OK” message on its display. At this point, you must click “Next” and “Close,” and afterwards remove the USB from your unit.

That being said, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your camera model, take into account all the above-mentioned aspects, and apply the new firmware in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
