Today, Olympus decided to provide its E-PL7 owners with a new firmware package, namely version 1.2, which will improve the camera’s stability when performing continuous shooting H on ISO 2000 settings (or higher) with certain LUMIX G lenses.

Even though not all Panasonic lenses apply to this change, its H-H014 and H-H020 LUMIX G products, H-FS014042 and H-FS100300 LUMIX G VARIO devices, as well as its H-PS14042 LUMIX G X VARIO lenses are surely to work with this new firmware.

When it comes to upgrading your camera, first save the appropriate package for your system configuration as Olympus has outed two downloadable packages: one suitable for Mac OS X platforms, and the other targeted at Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 8.1 OSes.

Once saved, run the installation file, connect the E-PL7 unit to your computer via a USB cable, click the wizard’s “Next” button, and wait for firmware 1.2 to be found. When discovered, click “Update,” then “Yes,” and wait the new software to be applied.

Upon completion, the Olympus unit will display an “OK” message on its screen. If visible, click “Next” and “Close” buttons to close the wizard, disconnect your camera, and you’re done.

With this in mind, download Olympus E-PL7 Camera Firmware 1.2, apply it on your imaging unit, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
