OUYA has just rolled out the Chickcharney update (or firmware version 1.2.1353) targeted at its gaming console, which includes support for Community Content, various changes to the OUYA interface, as well as other modifications.

In order to detail the release notes, Community Content allows users to upload their own content that will be featured in DISCOVER later on, and Bundes support gives gamers the ability to play Choplifter HD and The Bard’s Tale from inXile.

When it comes to the user interface, OUYA improves the scrolling experience in DISCOVER (much smoother), shrinks loading times, and slightly enhances animations.

Moreover, this new update fixes an issue where the console wouldn’t return to the default launcher when exiting a game, and resolves the incorrect display of connected controllers on the pairing screen.

OUYA has also included a few Android security improvements that remove any Masterkey vulnerabilities, limited the number of queue downloads to 10, and added the usual bug fixes.

Last but not least, version 1.2.1353 makes various other enhancements that will come in handy to developers. Thus, in order to view these changes or to check out the full changelog, click the Release Notes button below.

Another important aspect that you must take into account is that applying this firmware should be performed in a steady power environment, such as the one ensured by a UPS unit. Doing so prevents any malfunctions due to a power outage.

That being said, download OUYA Game Console Firmware 1.2.1353 Chickcharney, carefully apply it on your console, and enjoy the new changes that this release brings about.
