OUYA has just rolled out a fresh Mini-Chupacabra firmware package targeted at its gaming console, namely version 1.2.1187, and along with this release, the producer has also announced its latest initiative – Developing Developers.

This new update teaches users how to set up Unity and how to get a game on the OUYA store through a fresh Tutorials section that has been added under the Make category.

Moreover, in the same tutorials section you can also find a beta version of AIDE. This program will come in handy when starting to learn the basic coding and game development process.

In addition to that, version 1.2.1187 includes a new upload functionality within the Make category that allows you to send an apk directly to your OUYA console from any computer using the existing network.

Even though it isn't a major change for an everyday user, OUYA has included a new way to upload troubleshooting log files, which should lead to a more stable firmware.

If this release is applied, the "Y" button will now pause a video while playing, and the left and right controls on the dpad or analog will scrub it forward and back while in fullscreen.

Last but not least, version 1.2.1187 includes a new video progress bar, fixes several minor issues, and adds compatibility with Mad Catz`s M.O.J.O. controller.

That being said, if the above-described changes suit your needs, download OUYA Game Console Firmware 1.2.1187, apply it on your device, and enjoy your newly-improved gaming unit.
