Today, OUYA has made available a second Abominable Snowman hotfix targeted at its game console, namely firmware 1.2.771, which includes a large number of new features, fixed issues, and performance improvements.

Specifically speaking, this fresh update improves the error reporting feature, the recommendations in the System menu, and the navigation’s performance in the DISCOVER menu.

In addition to that, OUYA’s release adds spinners to USB dialog boxes, bluetooth and wi-fi prioritize settings, and gives users the ability to ask questions in the System menu and to work with the producer’s Customer Service team for a more accurate log information.

As for the fixes, version 1.2.771 resolves issues such as the USB drive improper download-related reports, the USB functionality when a bad removal is encountered, and the Update Notes occasional problems, and also includes several External Storage Open Beta resolved bug.

Despite the fact that the producer highlighted in the previous version (OUYA Game Console Firmware 1.2.703) that it will focus on resolving the XBMC Audio Passthrough and CEC support problems, OUYA’s team didn’t manage to resolve this issue, yet it’s still working on it.

That being said, until the next version, download Firmware 1.2.771 for OUYA Game Console, apply the package, and enjoy your newly improved device.
