OUYA has made available a new firmware version targeted at its gaming console, namely build 1.2.995, which brings a large number of changes that improve the device’s overall stability and usability.

Specifically speaking, the newly released update reorganizes the details page with clearer text and navigation in order to bring a new look, and redesigns the “Genre” section to provide multiple rows, such as the “Discover” page.

In addition to that, this version changes the “Play” feature by removing the “Thumbs Up” system, adding new categories for purchased games and recent downloads and including an “A-Z” section to sort games alphabetically so that they are easier to find.

Moreover, OUYA has included a simple download manager, pairing with Bluetooth media remotes is now easier, and a developer-specific details page, as well as support for other generic Details pages, has been added.

Through this latest firmware users will no longer be asked to confirm their passwords (as a new user), and a date of birth and gender fields have been added to the signup form.

Last but not least, the producer has added XBMC audio passthrough support, as well as an option that keeps controllers always on in selected programs. Also, developers have the ability to choose if their games are free or have a price, and users can now pay for them using PayPal.

That being said, download OUYA Game Console Firmware 1.2.995, apply it to the device, and enjoy all the new features brought by this release. Also, check with our website as often as possible to be up to speed with the latest releases.
