The new update fixes a specific exposure control issue

Today, Nikon has made available a new firmware package developed for its COOLPIX A digital imaging unit, namely version 1.12, which fixes the issue that prevented proper exposure control from being used along with interval time photography.

The newly released update can be applied using systems powered by Mac OS X platforms, or computers running one of Microsoft’s Windows Vista, 7, or 8.1 operating systems, either 32- or 64-bit architectures.

In addition to that, in order to successfully update your camera, first go to Menu > Setup > Firmware Version and check the currently installed software in order to make sure it isn’t either newer or matching the present release.

If all is ok, save and run the appropriate downloadable package for your computer OS, copy the firmware folder from the newly created directory onto an empty memory card, turn off the camera, and insert the card into the device.

Now power on the COOLPIX A unit, go to Firmware Version as described above, and simply follow the on-screen instructions for a complete upgrade.

Last but not least, after the update has been applied, turn off the camera, remove the memory card, go to the Firmware Version section once more, and ensure the 1.12 version is displayed.

That being said, download Nikon COOLPIX A Camera Firmware 1.12, take into account all aforementioned aspects, and upgrade your camera software to the latest version.
