Today, Nikon releases the 1.1 firmware version for its COOLPIX P7700 digital camera, which is compatible with all of Microsoft’s Windows operating systems starting with XP, and with both 32- and 64-bit versions.

The new package updates the version only from 1.0 to 1.1; so if you already have the 1.1 software version, no further action is needed. Though, if the version differs, follow the steps below to update your COOLPIX P7700 camera.

Before I tell you about the update method, I will highlight the changes that this package brings.

So, the virtual horizon accuracy has been increased and the issue that was spotted when shooting with the “Auto bracketing” option set to “Exposure bracketing” is resolved. Moreover, on the same settings the uninterrupted shooting interval has been reduced.

As for installing the 1.1 firmware, if you run the downloadable file, it will create an “P7700Update” folder in which you should find a “firmware” folder. Copy it onto a formatted memory card, insert it into the camera’s card slot, and turn on the device.

Now, choose “Firmware version” from the camera’s menu and follow the onscreen instructions.

After the process is complete, turn off the camera, remove the memory card, and afterwards, you can come back to the Firmware version option to confirm whether the upgrade is successful.

That being said, follow the link below and download the firmware file for your COOLPIX P7700.
