Windows XP still be supported and receives fresh GMA drivers

Well, it's no news that Vista is going down whereas the old XP is still alive and kicking and... gets new display drivers for selected Intel chipsets.

Today, we present you with the latest in GMA (Graphics Media Accelerator) drivers for no less than 7 Intel chipsets. We are talking about the B43, G41, G43, G45, Q43, Q45 and Mobile Intel 4 Series Express chipsets receiving fresh display drivers for Windows XP, in the shape of the 5420 build.

So you can now download versions 14.42.15.5420 and 14.42.15.64.5420 for XP and XP64, respectively. The new driver brings a fix for a minor error affecting the external DisplayPort monitor systems, which created some fuss with the shutdown computer-turn off monitor sequence. Also, the previous display configuration settings will remain unaltered after updating the display drivers.
