NVIDIA outed today the 320.49 GeForce Graphics driver version that is WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Labs) certified, and is suitable for both desktop and notebook system configurations.

This latest version is targeted especially at its newly released GeForce GTX 760 graphics card, and has Windows 7 and 8 compatible files for the notebook configuration, and in addition to that, Windows XP and Vista packages for the desktop systems.

The drivers include the PhysX System Software version 9.13.0604 and the 1.3.24.2 HD Audio packages, and has support for CUDA 5.5-build applications, OpenGL 4.3 (for GeForce 400 cards and later), and DisplayPort 1.2 (for the GeForce GTX 600 series GPUs).

As for improvements, the 320.49 WHQL version increases in-game performance by up to 20% compared to the 314.22 WHQL-certified drivers.

As an example, the GeForce GTX 660 card has increased performance for games like Dirt: Showdown (20%), Tomb Raider (18%), Metro: Last Light and Sleeping Dogs (10%), and Starcraft II (8%).
