NVIDIA has released the 307.83 WHQL GeForce Graphics driver for desktop and notebook GPUs. This package is compatible only with Microsoft’s Windows XP operating system, both 32- and 64-bit versions.

The package will fix the issue with some overclocked factory cards that would have the settings reset after upgrading, the GeForce GTX 600 series vsync issue, and a performance problem with Total War: Shogun 2.

NVIDIA driver service security updates are included in this driver release, along with the support for NVIDIA TXAA technology, and increased performances in several PC games. These performances percentages depend on the GPU and system configuration.

As an example, for a GeForce GTX 680 graphic card, we have the performance increased by up to 18% in Batman: Arkham City, 15% in Dragon Age II, 10% in STALKER: Call of Pripyat, and an astonishing 60% in Total War: Shogun 2.

Moreover, the driver adds or updates SLI and 3D Vision profiles for various games like Alan Wake's American Nightmare, Borderlands 2, End of Nations, or Tribes: Ascend.

The package installs the 9.12.0604 PhysX System Software and the 1.3.18.0 HD Audio, and ensures support for CUDA 5 built applications.
