The new release adds support for NAT loopback and 3TB HDDs

Just now, NETGEAR has made available its 1.0.0.92 firmware package targeted at the Nighthawk X4 R7500 wireless router, which implements support for the NAT loopback feature and adds compatibility with 3TB size HDDs (HFS+ file system).

In addition to that, this version fixes the Dynamic QoS record disappearing issue and the ReadySHARE Print function security vulnerability. Also, it updates 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless drivers in order to get rid of connection stability problems.

If applied, firmware 1.0.0.92 will also allow owners to properly reserve an IP address outside the DHCP pool, access ReadySHARE USB drive, as well as make use of iTunes Server version 12.1.

Considering all the aforementioned changes, if you have been experiencing one of these problems or want to make use of the new features, then save and unzip the downloadable archive, and write down all settings you have modified from the default values (you might need to re-enter them).

Afterwards, connect your router to a computer through an Ethernet cable, log in to the device’s dashboard, go to Advanced > Administration  > Firmware Upgrade, click “Browse,” navigate and select the newly extracted “R7500-V1.0.0.76.img” file, and hit “Upload.”

That being said, download NETGEAR R7500 Router Firmware 1.0.0.92, carefully apply it on your Nighthawk X4 unit, and enjoy the changes this new release brings about. Also, constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
