The newly-released update only fixes a VLAN limitation issue

Today, NETGEAR has rolled out a new firmware package compatible with its FS726Tv2 switch, namely version 1.0.0.13, which resolves a limitation issue that prevented VLAN ID 2 from being properly configured.

With this in mind, if you have been encountering this problem, check your device’s currently installed firmware on the administration page, and if it isn’t either newer or matching this release, save and unzip the downloadable package.

Afterwards, establish a wired connection between your switch and a computer in order to ensure a high stability level, log into its administration page, and go to the “Firmware Upgrade” section.

Now, simply click the “Browse” button, navigate and select the newly-extracted .rom file, hit “Upload,” and wait patiently for the switch to do its job.

Even though this seems easy, bear in mind that you mustn’t remove the Ethernet/power cable from neither devices, power off/reboot the switch or the computer, or interrupt the installation in any way. Doing so could lead to various device malfunctions.

With this in mind, download NETGEAR FS726Tv2 Switch Firmware 1.0.0.13 and carefully apply it on your unit. Also, check our website as often as possible in order to be aware when newer versions are available for your device.
