NETGEAR has rolled out a new firmware package suitable for its DGN2200v3 wireless router, namely version 1.1.00.25, which increases the device’s overall security level by fixing the SOAP vulnerability issue.

Therefore, if you want to make use of this change, first of all, you must find out the router’s currently installed firmware version and make sure it isn’t newer or matching this release. To do so, log into its administration page and check it there.

If it’s all OK, save and extract the downloadable file appropriate for your region: NETGEAR has made available packages for users from Germany (DE), North America (NA), and the rest of the world (WW).

Afterwards, establish a wired connection between your router and a computer, log into its dashboard once more (username and password should be required), go to Maintenance > Router Upgrade, and click the “Browse” button.

Now, simply navigate and select the newly unzipped .img file, click “Upload,” and wait for your router to do its job. Bear in mind that you mustn’t interrupt the installation in any way, as doing so can lead to various device malfunctions.

With this in mind, download NETGEAR DGN2200v3 Router Firmware 1.1.00.25, and carefully apply it on your wireless unit. Also, check our website as often as possible in order to be aware when newer versions are available for your device.
