The present update fixes PPPoA mode and Port Forwarding

NETGEAR has rolled out firmware 1.0.0.20 targeted at DGN1000v3 router owners, which sets up the wireless device so that it is in compliance with the new EN300 328 v1.8.1 rules and requirements, and includes several other changes.

This new update applies Adaptive to Realtek patches, resolves a specific PPPoA/PPPoE password display issue, and disables SSL2 and SSL3 as they might make room for POODLE vulnerabilities.

In addition to that, the Attached Devices page will now display connection type even for guest networks, SOAP SSID/Key setting for XSS protection encounters no problems whatsoever, and the DHCP server detection wizard has been modified.

Moreover, language version 1.0.0.12 has been applied, and various issues regarding Port Forwarding settings, NAT function, and PPPoA mode have been resolved (for more details click on the “Release Notes” button below).

When it comes to installing this firmware, first of all back up all settings changed from the default values (just in case), and establish a wired connection between the router and the computer to avoid any wireless disconnection events.

Now, save and extract the downloadable archive, log into your router’s administration page, and go to Maintenance > Router Upgrade. From there, click “Browse,” navigate and select the .img firmware file, click “Upload,” and wait for the device to do its job.

That being said, download NETGEAR DGN1000v3 Router Firmware 1.0.0.20, take into account all aforementioned aspects, and check our website as often as possible in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
