Version 1.0.0.76 fixes several GUI-related issues

Today, NETGEAR has released firmware version 1.0.0.76 compatible with its Nighthawk X4 R7500 routers, which adds support for the QoS function that allows users to change device type and priority, and also fixes several GUI-related problems.

Specifically speaking, when the router was powered by firmware 1.0.070 (or earlier) in ”Wireless Bridge” mode, the GUI would receive wrong 5GHz link rate info and the ACL function didn’t gray-out.

In addition to that, users won’t be able to access “Wireless Bridge” menu anymore when in AP mode, and the useless DLNA task message on web GUI page won’t be displayed when Media Server setting is set.

As for other changes, NETGEAR’s update enhances USB write speed (from 40MB to 60MB), 2.4GHz channel selection, as well as 5GHz stability and performance, includes compatibility with CE DFS channel, and adds “Traditional Chinese” language GUI support.

Therefore, if you have been experiencing these problems and want to make use of these changes, then save and unzip the downloadable archive, write down all settings you have modified from the default values (might need to re-enter them), and establish a wired connection between the computer and the router.

Afterwards, log in to the router’s dashboard, go to Advanced > Administration  > Firmware Upgrade, click “Browse,” navigate and select the newly-extracted “R7500-V1.0.0.76.img” file, and hit “Upload.”

That being said, download NETGEAR R7500 Router Firmware 1.0.0.76, apply it, and enjoy the changes this release brings about. Also, don’t forget to check with us constantly to be the first to know when a newer version is available.
