NETGEAR has outed a new firmware package developed for some of its network storages, namely version 1.4.3 compatible with the ReadyDATA 516, 5200, and 521210 devices, which can be applied regardless of the OS powering your computer.

This new update adds support for ReadyRECOVER, a complete backup and recovery appliance that instantly creates a full backup every 15 minutes. Also, these backups can be independently used to restore files or systems to any platforms.

In addition to that, if upgraded to version 1.4.3, the Share and LUN properties (such as compression or deduplication) will be automatically synchronized in order to ensure similar behavior at both source and destination.

When it comes to fixes, this release resolves the display issue that didn’t allow access to local replication jobs when more than 20 jobs were active, as well as the one where snapshot timeline would display improper results in certain situations.

Moreover, since the producer takes outages very seriously, NETGEAR has migrated the ReadyDATA Replicate portal to another provider for an increased uptime. Also, some safeguards have been added in order to remove the possibility of any future outages.

That being said, if you intend to upgrade your network storage to the latest firmware version, then download the appropriate archive for your ReadyDATA model from the links below and apply it on your NETGEAR device.
