After having released Firmware 3.0.0.4.378.6117 Beta for Several ASUS Routers just yesterday, the producer has now made available the same firmware version for additional wireless devices, which includes the same changes and improvements.

Specifically speaking, today, ASUS has rolled out a new update for its RT-N12 (VER.D1), RT-N14U, RT-N14UHP, and RT-N18U router models, as well as one for the RT-AC55U and RT-AC55UHP Wireless-AC devices.

Since the release notes are the same as those of yesterday’s release, such as brute-force attack protection, increased login authentication strength, as well as several other fixes, I can only guide you through the installation steps.

Therefore, save and unzip the appropriate archive for your specific router model, establish a wired connection between your device and a computer (using an Ethernet cable), and login to its administration page by entering the username and password.

Now, go to Advanced Settings > Administration > Firmware Upgrade, hit the “Choose File” button near the “New Firmware File” section, select the newly extracted .trx file, click “Upload,” and wait for your router to do its job.

Bear in mind that, during the installation, you mustn’t power off/reboot either the router or the computer, or close the web browser. Doing so will interrupt the upgrade and this might lead to various malfunctions.

That being told, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your router, download and carefully apply the latest firmware on the device, and constantly check our website in order to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
