The present update adds Surface Pro UEFI 3.11.760.0

Microsoft has outed a new firmware and driver pack dated March 26, 2015, targeted at its Surface Pro 3 tablets, which adds a new version of Surface Pro UEFI, namely 3.11.760.0.

This new addition includes support for enterprise disk encryption, improves advanced configuration settings for device security, and also adds configurable Windows OS support for provisioning scenarios.

If you intend to upgrade your tablet, you can do so either automatically via Microsoft’s Windows Update Service, or manually by downloading, extracting, and installing all the drivers.

To be clearer about these two methods, if the first one is desired, simply go and check for updates and they will be installed automatically. However, not every device will receive the new package at the same time, and you might need to wait a while for your device to get the update.

Considering this, if waiting isn’t an option, you should turn your eyes to the manual method so that you can upgrade your Surface Pro 3 immediately. To carry out this task, simply save and extract the archive, and install each driver and firmware included within the newly-created folder.

Last but not least, after applying all packages, it would be a good idea to reboot your tablet manually (if not requested automatically), to ensure all changes take effect properly.

In other words, download Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Firmware/Driver March 26, 2015, apply it, and constantly check with us in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
