Microsoft has rolled out its May software and drivers pack developed for Surface Pro 2 and Pro 3 tablets, which update the HD Graphics Family driver to version 10.18.14.4170 thus improving graphics performance and Miracast wireless display support.

In addition to that, this release applies the 6.16.00.3172 display audio driver that enhances audio experience and includes compatibility with the newly-updated graphics chipset.

Moreover, due to this new graphics driver, Microsoft has also included the 2.5.250.0 and 3.11.850.0 UEFI updates for Surface Pro 2 and Pro 3, respectively, that comply with Intel’s 10.18.14.4170 package.

When it comes to installation, the present update can be applied either automatically through Microsoft’s Windows Update service, or manually by downloading and installing this release.

However, through the Windows Update service, this update will be provided to all customers in stages, thus you might not receive it right now. Still, all Surface devices will get this update at some point.

If you are anxious about this release and want it now, then save the downloadable archive for your device model, and apply it on your Surface tablet.

With this in mind, download Microsoft Surface Pro 2 Firmware May 2015 or download Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Firmware May 2015, install it, and check our website as often as possible as we’ll keep you posted when a newer update is available.
