Just now, Microsoft has made available the download link where you can get the latest update for the Surface Pro 2 tablet, namely the June firmware and driver package, which includes several changes that improve the unit’s performance and stability.

Specifically speaking, this fresh release improves the sleep state transitions when the Surface Cover is attached by updating Surface Pro System Aggregator Firmware and Surface Accessory Device to versions 2.4.350.0 and 2.0.287.0, respectively.

In addition to that, the new 10.18.10.3496 HD Graphics build included in the package brings about several enhancements for the Miracast wireless display experience and stability, while the 2.0.288.0 Surface Power Cover firmware update improves Power Cover’s reliability when attached.

Moreover, the June release also applies Surface Pro UEFI and Surface Pro embedded controller firmware version 2.4.950.0 and 24.1.50.0, respectively, through which the microSD stability, Power Cover compatibility, and sleep state transitions reliability get improved.

As for installing this release, you should know that the package is compatible with Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 Pro and Enterprise. Also, after applying the update, it’s highly advisable that you perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly.

That being said, download Microsoft Surface Pro 2 Tablet Firmware/Driver June 2014, apply the update, and enjoy your newly improved tablet.
