14 DAY TRIAL // Lexmark has recently released a new firmware version for its C792 color laser printer. Codenamed LHS30.HC.P303 LHS1.HC.E154, this update comes with a handful of new functions and fixes.
To begin with, on the freshly added features list, there are support for Lexmark Secure Content Monitor application and scan-to-MRC compression for PDFs as well as for TIFF JPEG compression. The energy saving has been improved and a Timed-Hibernate feature has been added.
Some of the issues fixed by this firmware include several problems with VLML, security features, display bugs or certificate issues.
Improvements have been made in terms of performance, tray linking, toner usage information and the Windows 8 support.
The archive packing the update has 292 MB and, inside it, users will find the full release notes, firmware files and the instructions for the installation procedure. Lexmark recommends that you take a look at these instructions before starting the update. A flash corruption may lead to printer malfunctions.
