The new release includes various Intel legacy fixes

Leshcat has made available a new build of its Catalyst 14.4 WHQL UnifL driver, namely v2.4, which includes the same versions as the previous Leshcat AMD Catalyst 14.4 v2.3 release, as well as some small Intel legacy bug fixes.

In order to be clear, besides the obvious AMD Catalyst Graphics Driver 14.4 rolled out back in April, build 2.4 contains Intel HD Graphics Driver 9.17.10.3517 (also released in April), Intel Iris/HD Graphics Driver 10.18.10.3958 made available at the end of October, as well as Intel’s Legacy 8.15.10.2900 driver version.

As for the sound-related packages, Leshcat’s update includes AMD’s 7.12.0.7719 and 9.0.0.9905 HDMI audio drivers suitable for Windows 7 and 8.1 platforms, respectively.

When it comes to the suitable OSes, this release can be used on systems that are powered only by the 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems. Even though other platforms might be supported as well, we don’t recommend applying the package on other OSes.

In terms of installation, the steps are quite easy to follow: save and run the downloadable executable, make sure the proper configurations is selected, hit “Deploy,” and perform a system reboot upon completion.

That being said, download Leshcat AMD UnifL Catalyst Graphics Driver 14.4 v2.4, take into account all aforementioned aspects, and upgrade your graphics chipset to the latest version.
