Intel has just made available a new PROSet/Wireless Bluetooth build developed for some of its bluetooth adapters, namely version 17.1.1406.01, which is compatible with both 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems.

When it comes to the suitable adapters, this release can only be applied on Intel’s Wireless-N 7260, Centrino Advanced-N 6230 and 6235, as well as on the Centrino Wireless-N 130, 135, 1030, and 2230 devices.

In addition to that, this 17.1.1406.01 update can also be installed on systems running one of the compatible OSes that include an Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7260 or Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 and 7260 adapters.

As for the downloadable packages, the producer has provided several downloads: one for each OS and bit architecture.

Moreover, Intel has outed two types of packages: the first release is targeted at end-customers and home users who need the basic features of this software, and the other is developed for IT administrators who need advanced functions (mostly used in corporations, universities, and similar).

Either way, if you intend to apply one of the available packages, simply get the appropriate download, run the setup, and follow the on-screen instructions. Also, if not asked by the installer, make sure to perform a reboot in order to ensure all changes take effect properly.

That being said, from the links below, follow the one that best fulfills your needs, and apply the package on your system. Also, constantly check with our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
