Intel has launched a new driver for their PROSet products. It fits Wireless-N 2230, 135, 1030 and 130 adapters, while also offering support for Advanced-N 6235 and 6230.

Version 2.6.1211 comes with no changelog or any kind of note that might tell us what has been changed.

This release offers only Windows XP, 7 and 8 support. Windows Vista was left out for this update for unknown reasons.

Products found under the Intel PROSet logo are chipsets meant to incorporate wireless LAN and Bluetooth adapters.

The main difference between the Intel Centrino Wireless-N and the Advanced-N is the data transfer rate.

According to the American manufacturer, the Wireless-N is recommended for home or small business, web browsing and moderate traffic. Its sibling, the Advanced-N, may be used for high definition video streaming and hardcore traffic.

The installation process is simple: download the driver according to the OS you are using, run the executable and follow the instructions of the setup wizard.

We leave you with the download links, so you can stay “updated one minute ago.”
