14 DAY TRIAL // Intel has just rolled out a new Iris and HD Graphics package, namely version 10.18.14.4222, which is targeted especially at its latest H-series, R-series, and S-series 5th-generation Core processors with Iris Pro Graphics 6200.
In addition to that, this release also includes compatibility with Intel’s previously supported Core M (with HD graphics 5300) and 4th-gen Core CPUs, as well as with certain Pentium and Celeron processors models.
When it comes to changes, this fresh version adds a new Dedicated Memory reporting method, and improves user experience by modifying the Display Scaling option and implementing a Forced Application scaling feature.
Moreover, on mobile Core i7 and desktop LGA products with Iris Pro Graphics 6200, users should benefit from twice better graphics performance (up to 20% more for i7 CPUs), faster video conversion (up to 35%), as well as from 20% more Compute Performance.
As for game-related fixes, build 4222 should resolve several corruption, flickering, stuttering, and other issues for games such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Wolfenstein: The New Order, Dead Rising 3, Dragon Age: Inquisition, NFS Rivals, GTA V, and many more.
Furthermore, video playback errors, HDMI lag, hotkey improper behavior, and different other phenomena have been resolved. It would be a good idea to check the release notes below in order to view the complete changelog.
Last but not least, even though Intel highlights that its new update is compatible with both bit architectures of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems, only the 64-bit variant is currently available for download. However, we’ll post the 32-bit package as soon as it’s online.
