14 DAY TRIAL // Intel has announced the availability of BIOS 0035 developed for its D54250WYK and D34010WYK Next Unit Computing (NUC) Kits, which updates the devices’ Visual BIOS to version 2.2.15, thus adding several fixes and improvements.
In addition to that, this new BIOS release is also compatible with Intel’s D54250WYB and D34010WYB NUC boards, as these products are contained by the aforementioned NUC Kits.
To continue with the release notes, version 0035 adds a new “Suppress Alert Messages At Boot” setup option, resolves a CIR remote bug that allowed waking up the NUC even if it was disabled in BIOS settings, and sets “IGD Minimum Memory” to 64 MB by default.
As for Intel’s Visual BIOS changes, this new update resolves various issues regarding GUI, password input, touch monitors, variable flags, as well as several others that you can view by pressing the “Release Notes” button below.
When it comes to the downloadable files, as always, Intel provides its users with 4 packages that describe 3 different BIOS flashing methods.
Specifically speaking, while the Recovery BIOS Update (WY0035.BIO) can perform an F7 upgrade method, as well as recover the BIOS from an unusable state, the iflash BIOS Update zip archive can only apply version 0035 from a USB/CD drive regardless of the OS.
Last but not least, the two Express BIOS Update executables (one for each bit variant of Windows 7, 8, and 8.1) are able to upgrade your BIOS to 0035 only if they are run from the appropriate Windows operating system.
