Today, Intel has announced the availability of its 10.18.10.4061 Iris and HD Graphics driver targeted mostly at its 3rd-gen Core CPUs, which adds BIOS Brightness Notification support as well as a display scaling option for Miracast / WiDi projected displays.

In addition to that, the present release now allows users to set Single Display mode via command line while installing the driver, and it includes various Direct3D and OpenGL enhancements and fixes.

Moreover, Intel’s 4061 graphics build also resolves several corruption and artifact issues spotted in some applications, such as Outlook 2013, Steam Cloudbuilt, Origin SimCity 4, Visual Concepts NBA 2K15, and more.

If you intend to upgrade to this version, bear in mind that your system must be powered by one of Microsoft's Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 platforms and also include an Intel 3rd-gen processor with HD Graphics 2500 or 4000 chipset, Atom Z3700 CPU Series, or certain Pentium or Celeron processing unit models.

When it comes to package content, besides the obvious HD Graphics driver (10.18.10.4061), Intel’s release applies display audio (6.16.0.3154), Control Panel, Media SDK Runtime, and OpenCL drivers.

Furthermore, in order to prevent any unwanted issues, you should also update certain applications with the latest available patches, as highlighted below (click the “Release Notes” button).
