Intel has made available version 19.5 of its network drivers that consist of the Ethernet Connections CD and several Network Adapter packages, which add compatibility with Ethernet Converged XL710 and X710 Network Adapter Series for Windows Server platforms.

To detail more about the downloadable packages, the Connections CD includes all drivers and software required by most of Intel’s adapters suitable for currently compatible operating systems. However, not all devices are supported by this package.

Moving forward, the producer has also provided several Network Adapter drivers, each targeted at a specific OS and bit variant, which are recommended to be downloaded as they include required files only for devices supported by that particular platform.

However, bear in mind that these above-mentioned drivers are targeted at users who don’t need advanced administrator tools. For those of you who need these files, Intel has available two drivers developed for IT administrators compatible with Windows and Linux operating systems.

In order to clear things up regarding the supported OSes, this update is compatible with both 32- and 64-bit version of Windows 7, 8, 8.1, Server 2008 R2, as well as with the 64-bit architecture of Server 2012 and 2012 R2 platforms.

As for installing version 19.5, simply save and run the appropriate package for your system configuration, follow the on-screen instructions, and perform a reboot once the files have been applied.
