Intel has just announced the availability of its 10.0.26 Chipset driver version, which includes support for Slovak language, adds compatibility with Microsoft’s Windows Server Threshold 64-bit, and makes other useful changes.

Specifically speaking, this new update adds “freshinstall” behavior to MUP.xml, moves 9D31 device to Chipset_system.inf (previously in Chipset_thermal.inf), and implements YBR for LPSS devices on Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 64-bit and later.

In addition to that, version 10.0.26 includes official brandings for Intel’s Atom, Celeron, and Pentium CPUs, as well as 6F0D and 6F0E devices to the producer’s Xeon processor D-1500 product family.

When it comes to compatibility, Intel’s present driver is supported by Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 operating system (both 32- and 64-bit variants), as well as by its Server 2008 R2 and 2012 R2 platforms.

However, the OS isn’t enough: the system configuration must also include a suitable Intel chipset series, as well as a compatible processor family (detailed in the Release Notes).

Therefore, if you intend to apply this package, simply save and extract the downloadable archive, run “SetupChipset.exe,” and follow all instructions displayed for a complete and successful installation.

Last but not least, once applied, make sure to allow the wizard to perform a system reboot so that all changes can take effect. If this task isn’t requested, however, it would be a good idea to manually restart your computer.

That being said, download Intel Chipset Driver 10.0.26, apply it on your computer, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
