GoPro has just made available a new firmware package targeted at its famous HERO3+ cameras, namely version 2.0 compatible with both Black and Silver editions, which includes several changes that will improve the devices’ overall performance and stability.

In order to be clear, while the HERO3+ Silver edition only gets the Field of View (FOV) increased for both photo and video modes, the Black edition unit benefits from a larger number of changes.

Specifically speaking, the HERO3+ Black camera is now able to adjust Color, ISO Limit, Sharpness, and Exposure through new advanced Protune controls, and it will also get support for using 1080p/SuperView 60 FPS and 50 FPS video modes.

In addition to that, a new “Auto Low Light” setting is now available for these two newly added video modes along with higher frame rate modes such as 960p/100 FPS, 720p/120 FPS, 720p/100 FPS, and 720p/SuperView 100 FPS.

Moreover, the HERO3+’s default settings are as follows: the “Auto Low Light” mode is set to “On” and the Protune’s Color and Sharpness options are now “GoPro Color” and “High,” respectively.

That being said, if you consider installing this latest firmware package, from the links below, follow the one that best describes the device that you own, apply it, and prepare to go pro with your newly updated HERO3+ unit.
