Today, Gigabyte has just made available all drivers required by the 1.2 revision of its GA-Z97X-SLI motherboard, which are compatible with Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 operating systems, both 32- and 64-bit variants.

In addition to that, the producer has also outed newer BIOS versions that add support for future NVMe SSD drive, improve M.2 compatibility, or enhance CPU performance, which can be applied regardless of the currently installed OS.

To be clear about the downloadable files, besides the HD Audio driver which is provided by Realtek (version 3.94), all other packages have been developed by Intel.

All chipset-related drivers, such as USB 3.0 (only for Windows 7), RST (Rapid Storage Technology), SATA Preinstall (RAID and AHCI), and ME (Management Engine), have been provided by Intel.

Moreover, Intel has also developed the files required by Gigabyte’s motherboard Ethernet and video cards, namely LAN driver 18.8, as well as Graphics driver 10.18.10.3540, respectively.

As for applying these packages, you must download and extract each of them on your desktop, and run the available setup executable. Also, after finishing the installation process, make sure to manually reboot your system in order for all changes to take effect.

When it comes to recommendations, since the available drivers might also be compatible with other operating systems, bear in mind that you shouldn’t try to install them on OSes other than the above-mentioned ones.

With this in mind, download Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI (rev. 1.2) Drivers, apply them on your motherboard, and constantly check our website to stay “updated one minute ago.”
