This release fixes NAT loopback issue and various GUI bugs

ASUS has just provided its RT-N11P router owners with a new firmware update package, namely version 3.0.0.4.376.3690, which fixes the NAT loopback issue, as well as various GUI-related problems.

In addition to that, this new release also allows setting a fixed IP for a specific client by clicking its icon, adds DHCP and static IP identification, and includes a number on the client icon to display how many users are connected to the router.

When it comes to applying this update, first of all login to the device’s administration page and make sure the currently installed version isn’t either newer or matching this release.

If all is OK, save and extract the downloadable archive, go to Advanced Settings > Administration > Firmware Upgrade in the router’s setup, and click “Browse” button near the “New Firmware File” field.

Now, navigate and select update file “FW_RT_N11P_30043763690.trx,” hit “Upload” in order for the firmware to be transferred to the RT-N11P unit, and allow the device to do its job. Upon completion, ASUS’ router will reboot automatically (first boot might take longer than expected).

Even though the process is as easy as it seems, if any problems are encountered and the router fails to perform the upgrade, it will automatically enter rescue mode (power LED start flashing slowly).

However, in order to recover from this state, just use ASUS Router Firmware Restoration Tool 2.0.0.0 (available only for Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1 OSes).

That being said, download ASUS RT-N11P Router Firmware 3.0.0.4.376.3690, apply it on your router, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
